  • A New Semester, a New Team

     

    While most of us were enjoying mom's home cooking, the Green Knights Women's Hockey team was sputtering. On January 6, the team fell for the fifth consecutive time in a tightly contested home affair with Hamline University. Their record stood at a paltry 4-9.

     

  • Track and Field Challenges at Grand Valley State Big Meet

     

    On February 11, St. Norbert College track and field teams competed at the Grand Valley State Big Meet. There, the women's team excelled in multiple running events including the 5000 meter run, 800 meter run, the 3000 meter run and the 60 meter dash. The men's team dominated in the 800 meter run, the 200 meter dash, and the weight throw.

             

  • Men’s Hockey League Champs for 13th Time

     

    With the number one seed in the Peters Cup Playoffs, a first round bye in post-season play, and the clinching of the regular season Northern Collegiate Hockey Association title, St. Norbert men's hockey stepped up to a whole different level of play the second half of the regular season.

     

              

  • Women’s Basketball Rolls over Carroll and Lawrence

     

    On February 11, the Lady Knights played a conference game against Carroll College in Waukesha in which they shot a blistering 70.3 percent from the floor, which set a school record.

  • What to Do With Donald Driver

     

    According to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Donald Driver is scheduled to make 5 million dollars this season, making him the 8th highest paid player on the team. Back in 2010 when he signed his contract extension, he was coming off a season where he caught 70 passes for 1061 yards. In these past two years combined, he has caught 88 passes for 1010 yards.

  • Men's Basketball Finishes Regular Season Strong

     

    The men's basketball team finished their regular season schedule with games against Carroll University on February 11 and Lawrence University on February 18. The Green Knight's regular season record earns them a berth in the Midwest Conference Tournament.

  • Men’s Tennis off to a Struggling Start

     

    Under a third new coach in the past three seasons, the men's tennis team is going through a disappointing start with four straight home losses, most recently against Augustana College 8-1.

    1 – St. Norbert's seed in the NCHA Peters Cup Tournament. They will play UW-Eau Claire, who upset River Falls in the quarterfinals, next weekend.

    Once upon a time there lived a 6'3'' feisty point guard, named Derrick Rose, who seemed destined for greatness as soon as he laced up his sneakers and took the floor his freshmen year at Chicago's Simeon Career Academy. He was the youngest of four sons to Brenda Rose and grew up in the blue collar and arguably one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the Windy City, Englewood.
