Art and Film Clubs Share Creativity at SNC

Marcus Wendricks '13 and Joel VanFossen '13 are creating quite a stir in the SNC art community by implementing a new Art Club on campus. They hope to promote collaboration between SNC students who wish to explore their creativity with other students. The process began in November when Wendricks and VanFossen had an "aha!" moment. Suicide, When it's Not a Joke Anymore

When I was in college, the rumor was that if your roommate committed suicide you got your tuition and room for free. Of course sitting around the lunch table we would joke around about those who might commit suicide or who we might want to do it- but it was just joking. (0) comments

Who is your favorite celebrity? Agnes from Caf: "Oh my god, who is my favorite celebrity? Brett Favre - I hate him. I like Cary Grant." Agnes from Phil's: "Oh boy, who is my favorite celebrity? I have to think about that. I like Julia Roberts. No, wait. (0) comments

Geology Spotlight with Cait Randerson

Why did you decide to become a geology major? Like most geology majors I did not start off as a geology major. I made that decision after I took my general studies intro geology class my first semester. I actually came in as a history major. I decided to become a geology major because I was good at identifying rocks and minerals in my intro geology class and I really liked learning about how the Earth works. (0) comments

What Now? Life After College

Students on this campus came to St. Norbert College for what I presume is the same reason: to build a future. Editor's Note: Dr. James Harris is the assistant professor of business administration at St. Norbert College and has taken the time to share with us his story. When the St. Norbert Times editorial staff kindly asked me to create a little blurb about myself, the first thing I didn't consider is that one item at which you're currently looking. (0) comments

Your mom. Susan B. Anthony. Geraldine Ferraro. Michelle Obama. Sarah Palin. Love or hate them, these women have all made significant contributions to the definition of womanhood as we know it today. Whether they are fighting for a woman's right to vote, the first woman running as a vice presidential candidate, or a mother raising three kids and working a full-time or part-time job apart from that - the role of women in modern society is one that is not static and it is often criticized and scrutinized. Students of St. Norbert College: Put down your cans of Keystone and listen to my drinking stories. Here I am in Dublin, Ireland. It's a Tuesday night, and what are we preparing to do? Why, go to the pub, of course! Before I scamper off, let me tell you something. (1) comment

Biology Spotlight with Nathan Wine

Why did you decide to become a biology major? I don't really know to be completely honest. I am not the genius medical student who has high aspirations to become a surgeon or anesthesiologist but rather a guy who enjoys a challenge. I knew that majoring in Biology would be a road less traveled due to its reputation as a rigorous course load, but for some psychopathic reason that is what drew me in. (0) comments
