Until now I've been holding my tongue about the outpouring of support towards Haiti, because generous help is better than nothing. Even wrapped in a public relations blitz, even if I do have to watch Beyoncé sing "Haiti I can see your halo, I'm surrounded by your embrace" on every channel. (4) comments
Full disclosure: I fall quite solidly on the side of Team Conan in the midst of this whole NBC debacle. To be more specific, I fall on Team "Conan, Craig Ferguson, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert Should Host One Mega-Show because 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. is my Chief Productivity Time and They End to Own All of It, Especially When I'm Procrastinating. I can't say I've ever been to New Jersey, nor do I know much about it. I'm aware the state bird is the "guido," and each summer flocks of them migrate to the Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights to meet "guidettes," their female counterparts, at night clubs to begin their annual mating ritual. The cost of textbooks has always been an issue for conscientious, frugal students. But at the end of the fall semester, I realized how complacent we have been as students by allowing ourselves to be exploited. Complaining via Facebook statuses may be a means of venting, but I'm not patient enough to keep throwing $300. (0) comments
Once again the President of the United States delivered a beautiful combination of words that braced the public for what his agenda for the country, and possibly the world, will be. This year, to give a small synopsis of what he proposed, he talked about how he wants to push his student loans forgiveness program for those who want to step into public service for a certain amount of years, his incentives program for those businesses that create jobs here in the U.
