The Green Knights competed well against the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) this year. In double-headers against UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stevens Point and UW-Platteville, SNC was able to take the first game each. The SNC tennis team is having their best year in a long time. With a roster that includes five freshman and only two upperclassmen, most teams knew the Knights were going to be solid, but not a lot of people expected them to be so strong this season. They are proving other teams wrong and working well as a team to contend within the Midwest Conference North region. (0) comments
In his first year of eligibility, Jim Purtill has been inducted into the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Purtill is the nineteenth college coach to enter the WFCA Hall of Fame and the fourth from the Midwest Conference. "Any time you get recognition it's a great compliment to the program," Purtill said. If you ever walk through Schuldes Sports Center, you will see many trophy cases and banners displaying the great athletes and teams that have been a part of the St. Norbert culture since its conception. What is probably more impressive than the banners and national champions is how many people are recognized on the walls in the hallways outside the coaches' offices and locker rooms for their athletic and academic excellence. SNC student athletes have competed in the Midwest Conference since 1983 and in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association since 1994. Of the 20 percent of the campus that participates in the 20 sports for both men and women, the number of professional athletes from the school over the years is extremely low. (0) comments

As the track season comes to a close, the athletes begin preparing for both the conference and national finals. Ashley Graybill '09 and Jenny Scherer '10 are two athletes who stand out this season. Both Graybill and Scherer posses several SNC Indoor and Outdoor records and are both looking forward to potentially representing SNC at the Division III Outdoor Championships. (0) comments
