TV ShowsLife Unexpected: For fans of the good ole' days when "Dawson's Creek" and "Felicity" were on TV, this is a new show that will bring you back to the days of the WB. Though it was picked up by the CW, this show embodies all the teenage angst that the WB had to offer a few years ago. "Life Unexpected" tells the story of 16-year-old Lux (played by Britt Robertson), who goes on a search for her birth parents so she can become an emancipated minor and stop being bounced around from foster home to foster home. Her parents (played by Shiri Appleby and Kristoffer Polaha) had Lux while they were still in high school and are everything that Lux seems not to be. Not only do they both have dark hair and Lux is a blonde, but also their personalities just don't seem to mix. Lux's mother, Cate Cassidy, is a type-A radio DJ and engaged to her on-air costar, but she simply refuses to commit. Lux's father, Blaze, is a slacker who lives above the bar that he owns and operates. As soon as Lux enters their lives, both Cate and Blaze begin to reevaluate the way they have been living. Between the sexual tension between Cate and Blaze and the sarcastic wit that Lux hands out in the most awkward moments, this show is not only vintage WB but also highly enjoyable. "Life Unexpected" airs Monday at 8 p.m. on the CW.

Greek: It is their senior year and the one semester that will change their lives. Our favorite college co-eds are back for more "will-they-or-won't-they" moments and plenty of drama. When we left off last season, Cappie and Casey had finally gotten back together after sharing a kiss on Thanksgiving, and Evan and Cappie seem to be back to being friends after three years of hating each other. Everything was smooth sailing until Evan got three of Cappie's fraternity brothers expelled and the ZBZ girls, including Casey, burned down a rival sorority house. The questions remain on whether Cappie and Evan will be able to mend their friendship and whether the girls of ZBZ can live with the guilt of accidentally setting another sorority house on fire. Dobler's anyone?

Glee: We were left humming "Don't Stop Believing" and "My Life Would Suck Without You" for days. Now, until "Glee" returns in April, our life will be a giant void filled with silence. The show promised us more drama, new relationships and of course more signing. News has been flying that Idina Menzel, the original Elphaba in "Wicked" on Broadway, will be joining the cast for a multiple episode arc. Olivia Newton-John will be making an apperance, and Kristin Chenoweth will be reprising her role of April Rhodes.

Movies

Alice in Wonderland: Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Tim Burton directing? Who better to take on Lewis Carroll's drug-influenced classic? Depp and a big budget movie usually means a summer release date, but this movie will be hitting theaters in March. You don't want to be late for this very important date.

Inception: This movie could very well be terrible. All anyone knows it what director, Chris Nolan ("The Dark Knight") has chosen to reveal: it's a contemporary sci-fi action film set within the architecture of the mind. However, considering Nolan's reputation and the past movies he has directed, we are willing to follow him anywhere, even if it may be to the unknown.

Arrested Development: Possibly the most anticipated movie of the year, "Arrested Development" fans have been pining for a big screen adaptation ever since the show was kicked off the air. After jumping through hoop after hoop, the producers finally signed Michael Cera, and the movie has begun to take shape.

Music

Vampire Weekend, "Contra": How do you follow-up one of the most universally acclaimed albums of the decade? If you're Vampire Weekend, you release your first single about a Mexican rice drink. The band's second disk has more guitar driven tracks than on their first self-titled debut. "Contra" is out now.

She & Him, "Volume 2": The sequel to their hit "Volume 1" will feature 13 songs (11 originals) and one Tilly and the Wall guest spot. "Volume 2" hits stores on March 23.

Katy Perry, TBD: First she kissed a girl, than she woke up in Vegas, and now Katy Perry is about release her follow-up to her disk "One of the Boys." Though information on the upcoming album is pretty hard to find, I think we can all expect some more crazy songs as well as crazy moves from this girl.
